Tillandsia Xerographica
Size of the plant is 10 x 10 cm
Tillandsia xerographica is one of the most impressive and largest species within the Tillandsia genus and is often referred to as the “King of Air Plants.” Its wide, gracefully curling leaves have a distinctive silvery-gray color and grow outward from the center of the plant, giving it a striking and sculptural appearance.
Like Tillandsia harrisii, this species is protected under the CITES convention, meaning it is a protected plant in Central America. Because of this, only a limited number of plants can be legally exported for international trade.
Thanks to its elegant form, Tillandsia xerographica is frequently used in wedding bouquets, wreaths, and table decorations. The leaves can also be used separately as decorative elements, both fresh and dried.
When the plant reaches its flowering stage, it produces a large red and green inflorescence that emerges from the center.
