Tillandsia abdita
Size of the plant is 8 x 6 cm
Tillandsia abdita is one of the most colorful species in our tillandsia collection. It forms a compact rosette of soft green leaves that gently overlap. As the plant matures, the leaves can develop beautiful red to purple tones, making it a striking decorative air plant.
This species is often referred to as Tillandsia brachycaulos, a well-known member of the tillandsia family. However, Tillandsia abdita is a distinct species and considered less common and more unique among air plants.
In nature, it grows in Mexico and Central America, mainly in dry forests and desert regions at elevations of 600–1200 meters.
